Soundcrash, a subsidiary of Live Nation are promoters who have rolled out unmissable multi-city event series across the UK. We were tasked to create an annual magazine that talks about the local goings-on in Margate and interviews with global artists that would be performing over the duration of the summer.

MASTHEAD

Taking the original Margate Summer Series brand logo, we broke it into it’s simple components and called the magazine ‘MARGATE - Summer Series’ ensuring the publications association to the event-series itself.

The Masthead was overlaid across the top of three versions of the covers. Each were targeted towards different audiences that would attend the duration of the summer.

EDITORIAL

There are three styles of editorial in the MSS Magazine;

• Exclusive interviews
• Local To-Dos
• Infotainment

We displayed them each in alternative styling which differentiated the content throughout the magazine and keeping each page interesting to the reader.

POINT OF SALE
+ WAYFINDING

We designed and implemented a POS stand for the magazines to be sold from within the arena grounds throughout the summer.

This was designed to represent a retro magazine-kiosk feel while making it clear through printed and digital way-finding where to purchase the copies from.

MEDIA DECKS

To support the advertising sales into the magazine, we were asked to create a marketing information pack.

This was primarily created before the core project commenced so the use of conceptual product visuals and previous years information was used.

For the 2024 season we have created a printed 24 page series guide to showcase each of the upcoming Summer Series taking place across the UK.
