We collaborated with International Wrap Artists (IWA) to bring a new franchisable brand concept to Margate’s sunny Marine Terrace – Where L.A’s Mexican Street food culture, meets the funk, soul, rhythm and blues of hip-hop’s Golden era.

IWA are focused to bring Mexican Street-food Culture and the golden era of Hip-Hop together in a juxtaposed display, Ray and Alex have ensured to keep their tongue in cheek approach vibrant and warm for anyone looking for a fun, friendly and relaxed experience.

IWA is a multi-functional venue which offers an all day South-Cali styled bar, Mexican restaurant and recently opened ‘Kicks, Bar & Beats’ – it’s new, late night, basement event space.

The IWA brand represents a balance between their favourite cuisine and musical genre while ensuring an approachable feel for families, couples and groups of friends looking to celebrate under one roof.

With various starting points and an obvious progression to pay homage to the OG’s of Hip-Hop, N.W.A… IWA needed to be vibrant with a pallet reference of ‘90’s pop’. which naturally worked with the bright colours you see across Mexican carnival celebrations..

BRAND ASSETS

We got creative producing multiple assets for IWA that build on the core brand identity and incorporate functional, multi-use components.

Through the development of a printed A3 Menu-turn-placemat, magazine advert, and digital billboard banners, we have been able to effectively showcase the brand in a variety of live environments.

It was a great to see the brand come to life across different mediums, and we're confident that the results will enhance the business' memorable impact.

An essential stage of the project was developing a functional website for IWA with the primary goal of boosting customer bookings, showcasing their services, and offering information on their weekly events.

A fun and easy-to-navigate design aligns allows visitors to book reservations with ease encouraging bookings through the new website.

After its launch mid 2023, it is now attracting 4,000 unique visitors per month and does a great job of showcasing IWA's offerings.

BRAND ILLUSTRATIONS

To take the IWA brand further we created some alternative and interactive brand icons.

Although similar, they offer different personalities of the business and can be used across different platforms for various messages and promotional materials.

FOOD + VENUE PHOTOGRAPHY

One of our favourite shoots to date, IWA asked us to support with art direction and photography to present their business in a mouthwatering, got-to-go there way.

With the interior of the Cinque Ports building in Margate lending itself to the wooden structures, rustic finish and bright-pops of Taquerias you might find in Mexico City, we decided to use the space with a high-lit-production.

Creating a well presented series of images was necessary to represent the bold and colourful brand IWA has become.
